Weekly we will be using our Electrostatic Technology backpack sprayers with CDC approved disinfectant.  This system charges finely dispersed droplets of disinfecting with electrostatic force allowing to cover, clean, and disinfect all surfaces from all angles.  The disinfectant kill microbes.  It is also designed to both act and dissipate quickly to avoid also harming humans and animals. Unfortunately, as soon as they evaporate, so does their antimicrobial capabilities. Due to this evaporation we use Shield for long term protection.

We will be using the PermaSafe Shield product every 90 days district wide bases. Upon application, an antimicrobial agent in PermaSafe SHIELD chemically reacts with and molecularly bonds to the surface to which it is applied. As the coating dries, millions of microscopic antimicrobials “spike-like” appliances form and extend from the surface. These “spikes” are long chains of positively charged atoms that represent a deadly dual threat to microbes. The antimicrobial coating forms an invisible shield that inhibits the growth of microorganisms and helps prevent the growth and spread of bacteria. Because the cell walls of harmful microorganisms are negatively charged, they are electrostatically drawn towards and pulled onto the positively charged spikes and destroyed, as the spikes both impale and electrostatically “shock” the microbes. We sprayed PermaSafe Shield on all campuses in all areas the week before students began class. 

By using both CDC approved Disinfectant along with Shield we get long lasting dual cleaning and protections.
