Reminder: Hands-Free Device School Zone Law

Dear Boyd ISD Yellowjackets,

As we continue to prioritize the safety of our students and staff, we want to remind everyone about the importance of adhering to the hands-free device law in school zones.

Starting this week, our campus SROs will be enforcing the hands-free zone regulations 10 minutes prior to the start of traffic flow. This means that all drivers must refrain from using their phones or any other electronic devices while in the designated school zone.

Your cooperation is essential in ensuring a safe environment for our students as they arrive and depart from campus. Let’s work together to keep our school zones safe!
