Boyd ISD Names Jana Clark as BES Principal

March 25, 2024: The Boyd Independent School District appoints Jana Clark as Principal at Boyd Elementary School. Mrs. Clark joins Boyd ISD with 16 years of experience in education. For the last 7 years, Mrs. Clark led the development and implementation of instructional programs and safety and security operations at Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD’s Harwood Junior High, an A-rated and Texas Honor Roll school. 

Furthermore, in 2021 and 2023, she was named HEB ISD Assistant Principal of the Year; and in 2022, she was named Texas Association of Secondary School Principals Assistant Principal of the Year.

“Mrs. Clark’s extensive background in successful school leadership and genuine commitment to Boyd Elementary rose to the top of a comprehensive interview process,” said BISD Superintendent Tom Woody. “Through extensive questioning, Mrs. Clark demonstrated strong communication skills and a collaborative leadership style. Her determination to advance a culture of fun, high expectations, and focused support for students and teachers make her a tremendous addition to the district, and we look forward to the positive impact she will have as the leader of Boyd Elementary School.”

Mrs. Clark earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Tarleton State University, and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. She will begin transitioning into the role of Boyd Elementary School Principal with a full-time start date of July 15, 2024.
